A green roofs is one of the recommended methods practice in improving sustainability urban areas. Green can be used as a passive technique to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from atmosphere. This due role roof layers which are vegetation and soil process photosynthesis activities capture CO2 The objective this paper quantify compare amount sequestration by ten potential plants, order estimate reduction within surrounding It found that, planting Alternanthera Paronychioides (Alternanthera P.) on surface could indoor air temperature well CO2, thus enhance quality air. study also revealed that P. generates highest rate or uptake compared other nine high 23.59 μmol m-2s-1. predicted if installed 0.64 m2 test bed roof, reduced almost 0.010 tonnes, annually. suggested surfaces may potentially give advantages mitigating greenhouse gas emission, particularly reducing impact global warming.
